Hello, in my opinion the best dog dry skin treatment option is by far Evolution Supply’s SkinPlex Enzymes. We started using these enzymes about a month back and we have noticed such a big difference in our dogs coat and overall shine. And of course the most important thing is that the dog dry skin is definitely gone!

We are also using there medicated dog shampoo and have found it to make a big difference with scratching and itching. The ingredients in it are very impressive and our veterinarian told us they do help with dog dry skin

SkinPlex for dry dogs skin

issues!

Hope this post helps other pet owners who may have a dog dry skin issue like we did! Good luck.

Medicated Dog Shampoo

A very good medicated dog shampoo for a dog with dry skin is one that contains zinc-pca. This type of zinc does a great job repairing and re balancing dog skin problems. It also nourishes the damaged skin to make sure that the zinc deficiency which most likely caused the dog skin problem has been corrected. Correcting this will end dog dry skin.

Make sure you find a medicated dog shampoo that contains zinc-pca, not another form of zinc as these types are inferior quality and have little skin healing properties. You can exptec to pay a bot more for these shampoos because of the cost of the pca type but it is well worth it.

You may also want to look for a dog shampoo that contains oatmeal. Oatmeal does a wonderful job re balancing the skins ph balance. Lastly make sure the shampoo is loaded with essential oils!

It worked very well for our 2 poodles and the itchy hot spots they had on their skin.

They have very dry and itchy dog skin, and they scratch alot.
Would also be interested in a dry dog skin remedy?

Does anyone have any suggestion to help cure dog itching? My boxer has what looks like dogs dandruff and he is scratching around his hind quarters, paws, and side all of the time. I know it may be allergies but before I go down that road I wanted to see if anyone else had any suggestions that may help?

He does not have any hot spots or open skin sores but he sure does have itchy dog skin. It appears to be worse when it is cold and when he does not get to run around much and has to stay in the house. Also, we have used many dog shampoos from Petco but none seem to help out at all.

He has a brother, who we also own, and he does not have any dry skin, dog allergies that we can see.

Thanks for your help in curing my itchy dogs skin!
